All Sales are Final on eBay!

Don’t let the title fool you.  This is not about someone buying something from one of my eBay auctions and wanting to return for a refund.  This is to say that my first official round of post-Christmas sales on eBay are complete!

Now, I am finally into the real profit.  I have erased my $150+ debit when starting out using DOBA drop shipping and I have entered the land of $0.11 in profit.  Sure, that sounds like nothing.  But I have erased the debit so from now on that profit will keep increasing; assuming my eBay sales continue to be steady.

I did have one other scare that tought me a valuable lesson.  Always put in your auctions that you want to be paid within 24 – 72 hours of the auction close.  I had someone who put the payment off for a while and I was SURE that I was not going to be paid.  Well, I was wrong.  I was paid but I have decided I cannot handle the worry of waiting that long again.  So, now all my auctions will read “Payment required within xx hours of auction close” or “within xx days of auction close”.  I do not want to go through that again.

I know I also have not posted a drop shipping sucks picture in a long time but for right now there are only 2 left so I am leaving them for a time when I have not too much to write about.  Maybe one week when my auctions are not going so hot.

I have to go post more auctions right now.  Nothing listed so I better get on it.

Day X: Among other things, I am no longer going to keep track of the day number!

Hello and Happy Holidays to all!

I am kicking off the new year, even though it is not here yet, by removing the day numbers from my blog posts.  Why you ask?  Because I am doing a bunch of eBay now and cannot always post every day here so I start to lose track of my day numbers.  I figure if I just eliminate them the problem is solved.

I have been continuing to have success on eBay using the Better Sources Guide and all is swell.  All accept for one thing.  Today, eBay cancelled one of my auctions!  Booo!

I am still not sure why they did either.  Granted it is only one auction and they did refund my listing fees.  But, the reason they gave for cancelling it makes no sense to me.  Something about outside linking?  I do not have ANY links in ANY of my auctions so I am very very confused.  I think it might be in error but I have not yet gotten a response to my email that I sent to Safe Harbor.

Oh well I suppose.  No harm done.  At first I even thought the email was a spoof but it was real.

I will write more in a couple of days when my current auctions close.  I am running the after Christmas auctions that Chris recommended and they are going pretty well.  Not great, but in the profit.  I think I might be getting greedy.

Day ?: What day is it?

Well, I have been sick with the flu and feeling blah.  However, my eBay sales have been great so my mood is still very good.  Though this blog has suffered a few days without any posting.

My Christmas sales are now officially over.  Everything went well, thank you dropshippingsucks.com, and I am ready to face the world of eBay after Christmas.

If all goes as planned, maybe by this time next year I will be a full time ebay seller?  One can dream.  Until then I will sell, sell, sell and see if I can’t keep my momentum going.

Day 12: What the heck? A call from DOBA?

Today I saw on my caller ID that the drop ship sourcing company DOBA called.  What could they want?

For those of you who don’t know, DOBA was my first choice and first attempt to use drop shipping to make money on eBay.  Take a look at my about page.  It didn’t work out and I am very surprised to see them calling and very curious too.

If anyone reads this, and I now know that at least one person does besides myself, then can you share in my comments section your experiences with DOBA?  Have you had any luck with them?  I thought their prices made it impossible to profit.  Do you know why they could be calling me?

On to better subjects, my good pal eBay!

I have listed more auctions but do not have any bids yet.  This is ok as last time my auctions got most of the bids in the final moments so I am going to cross my fingers and hope that the items I listed are not just too late for the season.

From my conversation email with Chris from dropshippingsucks.com I have some products lined up just in case.  I was hoping to cash in on the holidays one more time with some 3-day quickies.  I will keep you posted.

I am going to again skip a day on the picture as I am really running low.  Maybe I can pester Chris to make more but I think I pester him enough.

Day 11: eBay, I think I love you.

All is going well in the world of eBay and my auctions.  Really well.  I will be in to the real profit zone by the end of the week it seems!!  This is great news for a eBay seller who just days ago was in over $150 debit with my eBay business.

I am only going to say this one more time, I do not like drop shipping and I think you will not either.  Ok, enough about that.

I got some information back from Chris about what to do after the Christmas season and he gave me some great ideas!  I am going to keep them to myself for now.  Sorry, but I do not get paid for this blog (unless you click my affiliate link) so I want to keep the inside information I have to myself.

Let me just say that I am now convinced that selling after Christmas will not be a problem.  Chris believes that immediately following Christmas I can make a good deal on eBay because people will be using their eBay gift certificates and also buying accessories for the gifts they received.  So I am armed and ready!

Day 9: I’m in the Money! I’m in the Money!

Not all of my auctions have ended yet but I must say it feels GREAT because two of them have ended and I have already been paid!

So, before my other four auctions end I have cut my debit down to $117.  Not in the profit overall yet but now that I am no longer trying to push the dropshipping issue I feel the sky is the limit.

I was right by the way, my eBay auctions got most of their action in the final hours, even the final seconds.  I am not sure still what the sales will be like after the Christmas season is over but I just can’t help but be optimistic right now.

I am going to write Chris (dropshipping sucks) today and ask him about my next few auctions.  I did wait to post any more as I just want to be sure.  I never want to be discouraged as I was before when using DOBA and trying to dropship on eBay.  I guess I do have to change the name of my blog soon.  But to what?  Any ideas please leave a comment.  Maybe “A eBay Non-Drop Shipper’s Web Log” or “A Guy Who Sells on eBay Without Drop Shipping Web Log”?  Don’t know.  Neither of those have a nice ring to them.

I am going to skip my picture today.  I have a few more but want to wait to post them until more people read my blog.  Right now I might be the only one who even reads my blog.  But I am having fun now that I am profiting so I plan to keep posting.  Just the pictures are on delay.

Day 8: What’s one thing all of my eBay auctions have in common?

All of my auctions on eBay now have bids!  Tomorrow I will know exactly how much money I will be making and I must say, it is soooo nice to be in the profit FINALLY!

I do not think over all I will be out of the red yet as I was over $150 under before I started using the Drop Shipping Sucks stuff.  But now I know I will soon be into the black.

I have also decided I cannot wait any longer.  Since I have some other products I want to sell and ALL of my other auctions have bids I feel it is safe to start listing some more.  I am not going to go crazy.  I want to, but I will not.

I am only going to list a few more auctions.  Promise (myself).

I did decide to cancel my Salehoo account and get a refund.  It is a nice service but I just am not using it right now.  Maybe once I get better at this using my DSS guide then I will look into Salehoo again.  But I will not look into DOBA again.  Yuck!

 I will not even put my affiliate link there.  Seriously, I think they were the worst by far.  Again, nothing they did to me personally but their prices were just way too high to compete.

Now, for my drop shipping will make you sick and die picture of the day.  I may have to switch to weekly soon as I am running out of pictures.

Day 7: Darn that one auction!

Everything is going SO WELL but for one dang auction!  It still has no bids, while my other auctions are going to net me a good profit even if they do not get any more bids.  I am hoping in the final seconds they will get some more bids though and push my profit even higher.

I am anxious to sell more products I found through the drop shipping sucks guide but I don’t know how it will affect my other auctions  so I might wait.  As long as I can that is.

Day 6: Going Strong! Change the blog name?

On day six and what a turn around from my previous days!  All but one of my auctions have bids and if they closed at their current bids I would be profiting!!

But I think they will actually get more bids as many auctions get most of their bids in the final hours.  I will keep you posted.

I am going to write Chris today and ask him for any more product ideas and if I feel so inclined I might post them here.  It is hard not to be greedy and secretive when you find a product that sells.  You don’t want Tom, Dick, and Harry to start selling the same products and competing with you.

I still do have my Salehoo account although I do not use it.  I feel too badly to return it since it was ok, I just couldn’t find anything in the few hours I looked through there and through the wholesaler’s websites that would sell for a profit on eBay.

So, I may look back at it soon.  But right now I am much more interested in using my drop shipping sucks sources as they are what is working.  Yes, working!
