I am very excited and wanted to let you know it is not too late for you!  Though I would say it is a bit to late to do some of the easy importing methods taught in the drop shipping sucks guide (use my affiliate link please!) to sell small electronic items (ebook readers, mp3 players, cell phones, etc) you can still use the guide to find some amazing ways to profit.

I am focusing on seasonal items and so, those of you who have read the drop shipping sucks guide know, I actually started on it last year.

Hopefully I will find the time, desire, and energy to update you here on how I do.  But until then – MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

But, as you also know, I have been looking into a way to expand my business and possibly, actually, quit my day job.  eBay just hasn’t gotten me there yet and it has been what feels like forever.

But I got an email yesterday from Christopher Bernard, the guy who created dropshippingsucks.com and he announced his new website, Duug.  I am not sure what Duug stands for, he didn’t say.  What he did say was that Duug was a place where he would personally create websites for people based on their interests.  The email made it sound pretty cool, so I am going to be one of the first customers!!!

The Duug website isn’t even finished yet but you can still sign up, or at least I could.  I just took the survey thingy and got a call FROM CHRIS HIMSELF and am waiting for my new site!!  I will let you know when it is complete.

I am very excited.  I have been waiting to talk to Chris for a long time and now I finally had the chance.  The dude is like crazy brilliant!

So, this is my update.  I will still continue to sell on eBay and still continue to promote dropshipping sucks (affiliate link) but maybe my new website will be the method to which I can quite my job forever!

As you know by looking at my blog, I was very into a site/product called dropshipping sucks and promoted it here (with my affiliate link) as a way to spread the word and make some money.

I used the Better Sources guide sold at dropshippingsucks.com to make money on eBay and really was excited to had found the answer to my work from home needs.

However, ever since December 2009 I suddenly stopped making money on eBay and found myself once again attracted to drop shipping.  I am really surprised and excited to announce that Christopher Bernard was wrong!!  Drop shipping works well, even on eBay!

I made more money in five days using drop shipping on eBay than I did in my whole career using the Better Sources guide (dropshipping sucks)!

I was finally able to quite my day job and have even moved on from eBay.  I now work full time for a drop shipping company.

I cannot believe I was so wrong and was so fooled by the nonsense I had been taught.  Listen to me, drop shipping is the best and easiest way to become a millionaire in a short period of time.  The real truth is, drop shipping and eBay work awesome together.  They are a match made in heaven.

Oh wait.  I just realized something.  It is April 1st, also known as April Fools Day.  And guess what?  You have been fooled!  Did I get you?

My eBay sales have been very consistent.  No, I never quite my day job as I was hoping but I really don’t see why.  I have streamlined my eBay selling so it take little of my time.

I do all my shopping for items to sell on eBay once per week and I list once per week (scheduled) as well.  With all this, I have gotten lazy!  Posting on this blog seems less exciting when I am not at my computer as much.  Sorry. 

The good news is I plan on sharing my success through the Holiday season so I should be, at least temporarily blogging here.

Yes, I still use dropshipping sucks and still try to promote that on this blog.

Here are some quick numbers:
I am now averaging $450+ per week in profits on eBay.
I am now averaging $700+ per week in sales on eBay.
I am now selling around 20 items per week on eBay.

The only downside is that I still have found very few long term items.  But that is ok, I like shopping for new things to sell.

Yes, I am still an eBay seller!  Things are going well.  Still doing the Drop Shipping Sucks stuff.  All is well.  In fact, even though I STILL have my day job the eBay sales have allowed us to take this little vacation.

I have come to the conclusion that eBay is not going to make me rich or even able to retire.  I am doing well, but the stability still isn’t 100% there.  But this is very good for now.  Doing eBay is fun and if it earns me nothing more than a couple of vacations and some extra spending $$ each year, I can live with that!

The problem I am having is expanding.  I am at a critical point.  If I want to expand my eBay adventure I am going to have to work much harder and many more hours.  I am going to have to look for new niche items and I am going to have to really ramp up my sales.

As I have played with in the past, I am SERIOUSLY considering venturing outside the bay.  I think this would be the easiest next step.  Looking where else I could sell, not what else.

I really have not established a solid niche for myself.  I have kept with selling anything I could buy cheap.  But I think the light in that is that when buying cheap I can sell just about anywhere.  After all, if I can sell on eBay I can sell on Amazon and other places, right?

I hope to post some updates soon for my handful of readers.  I am jumping back onto eBay now!

I am surprised that 6 people have said YES that they have made money on eBay using a dropshipper.  I am not surprised that more than 2x that amount, 14 people, have said NO that they have not made money using a dropshipper to supply their eBay auctions.

But I am curious.  I want some people who answered yes or who answer yes to submit a comment and let us know how you did it.  What product you sold, what drop shipper you used.  You don’t have to tell everything because nobody wants others stealing their sources.

I am very interested.  Drop shipping did not work at all for me with DOBA or anyone else.  I now subscribe to Drop Shipping Sucks (please use my link).

I am not a fan of drop shipping (buy Dropshipping Sucks through my link!) for my ebay sales, but I do not think eBay should ban it.  I think that all sellers who list an item with drop shipping as the source should have to list the “Item Location” as the actual location and there should be a little “DS” next to it to indicate that this item will be drop shipped.  Then, people know what they are getting into.
