Day 9: I’m in the Money! I’m in the Money!

Not all of my auctions have ended yet but I must say it feels GREAT because two of them have ended and I have already been paid!

So, before my other four auctions end I have cut my debit down to $117.  Not in the profit overall yet but now that I am no longer trying to push the dropshipping issue I feel the sky is the limit.

I was right by the way, my eBay auctions got most of their action in the final hours, even the final seconds.  I am not sure still what the sales will be like after the Christmas season is over but I just can’t help but be optimistic right now.

I am going to write Chris (dropshipping sucks) today and ask him about my next few auctions.  I did wait to post any more as I just want to be sure.  I never want to be discouraged as I was before when using DOBA and trying to dropship on eBay.  I guess I do have to change the name of my blog soon.  But to what?  Any ideas please leave a comment.  Maybe “A eBay Non-Drop Shipper’s Web Log” or “A Guy Who Sells on eBay Without Drop Shipping Web Log”?  Don’t know.  Neither of those have a nice ring to them.

I am going to skip my picture today.  I have a few more but want to wait to post them until more people read my blog.  Right now I might be the only one who even reads my blog.  But I am having fun now that I am profiting so I plan to keep posting.  Just the pictures are on delay.

Day 4: It’s official, drop shipping is not going to work for me!

At the risk of making my entire blog which is named “A eBay Shipper’s Web Log” seem misguided, I must admit after only a few days of trying to find something I can sell on eBay using a drop shipper and actually turn a profit I am giving up!

I am not giving up on eBay yet, only drop shipping.  As I mentioned in a previous post I found a site called Drop Shipping Sucks and have purchased and read the guide offered there by Chris Benard.  I do not know if it will help me make money on eBay or not yet, but I have actually listed some auctions that have some action and that is exciting to see!

The guide has change the way I look for products and I think it will really help me make money.  I am not sure how much yet but I will comment on that in the days to come.  For now though it does seem to be working.

The guide is not at all about drop shipping but it does deliver on the promise to provide access to products you can sell just like drop shipping.  Though the reality is that in general you do ship the products yourself, so that is different from drop ship sales where the product is shipped for you.

But, everything else is the same including most importantly the ability to not have to buy a product until after you have sold it.  This really was the most important aspect of drop shipping to me.

My biggest praise of the Drop Shipping Sucks guide is that the products are kinda unlimited.  It is amazing to me how almost obvious all of this seemed and yet none of it occurred to me.  I am not going to give away any hints as to the product finding methods in the guide as I am hoping you will buy it through my affiliate link.  I will say though that it is all very simple.

Wish me luck and please check back for updates on how things are going.  I may change the name of my blog soon as I am so far no longer using drop shipping.  Maybe that will change though, we will see.
