Did you think I was dead? No, I was just busy! But I have some time now because this is a slow time for me on eBay. After an amazing Christmas season where I think the slow economy actually helped my sales, things have dropped off considerably. But I am not concerned. I am using my dropshipping sucks skills to buy what I can and be ready for March!
Last March is when things really took off after the holidays. I did pretty well after the holidays last year too. But this year with the economy what helped my Christmas sales is hurting my post Christmas sales. During Christmas time everyone was on eBay because everyone wanted a DEAL. Everyone wanted to save some money and spend a little less. Now I think everyone is shopped out. Everyone is in savings mode.
It is a little painful, but again I will be able to ride it out and really cash-in come March.
I have been able to find a few great items to resell:
4GB SD Cards for $1.66 which will be great to sell to people who got Digital Cameras for Christmas and want to use them for the summer.
7″ Digital Photo Frame for $16.40 which I can sell along with the SD cards
A huge lot of 96 various Nintendo Wii games. Some of them are not as popular, but I got all 96 games for $504. This is a big investment for me, but I see me easily doubling my investment.
As you can see, I am ready and I am not just using the dropshipping-style techniques Christopher taught either. I am still using the techniques for buying products to sell on ebay, but I am not just buying one item at a time after it sells anymore.
I just wanted to give my fans a quick update and to let them know that I still have a heartbeat. WISH ME LUCK!

Chris posted another article, so here is the copy and paste. Note: I have replaced the DropShipping Sucks link with my affiliate link. That is all I have changed in the article.
The most exciting time of the year for eBay sellers is here. There is no doubt that the period between Nov 1 – Dec 23 is the best time to sell on eBay. The “Holiday Season” is where 66% of many eBay seller’s profit is earned for the entire year. That means if an eBay seller were to make $100,000 in a year, $34,000 of it was made in the first 10 months of the year, and $66,000 of it in the last 2 months. And, while most of us aren’t going to make $100k this year selling on eBay, we can enjoy some easy cash to help reduce the holiday cash crunch.
Who couldn’t use an extra $500 – $2000 this Nov/Dec?
When all you need is an eBay account, a PayPal account (both free), and a good source of products to sell on eBay – why not make some extra money!
During the first 10 months of the year you have to be very careful. You have to do much research to make sure a particular product is a good product to sell on eBay. During the “Holiday Season” on eBay you do not have to do nearly as much. If you have access to a good source for eBay products then all you have to do is find some name brand toys or some discount electronics or maybe a unique novelty item and you’re selling. It is amazing how much stuff sells on eBay during the period around Christmas, that doesn’t sell well on eBay throughout most of the year.
So, if you’ve ever considered selling products on eBay or even starting your own eBay business then now is the time to act. This “Holiday Season” is going to be hotter on eBay than ever. With more buyers looking to save money they will turn away from the mall and the retail chains and instead go to eBay for a good deal.
If you need a good source for products to sell on eBay I would recommend you visit Products for eBay at http://www.ProductsForEbay.com They have a little survey that will help you find the right place to find products. Or, if you’re interested in dropshipping, I always recommend people take a look at “Drop Shipping Sucks” — my website dedicated to alternatives to dropshipping.
Good luck and happy holidays!

What can I say. I had a bad week. First off, it looks like I purchased a LEMON of a product to sell. I thought that they would go well and, until now, I have gotten very good at determining what would sell. That stinks. I have been on a real roll.
The good news is since I used the DropShipping Sucks method I will not be out any money. But the bad news is that this entire week I will net a whopping $233 in profit. Yes, that is right, $233 for the WEEK.
Yuck!
Wish me luck for next week. I have been having much better weeks in general this was just a stinker. Let’s hope it is an exception and not the new rule!

I has been a long time since my last post. Let’s see. Since my last post:
- The NFL season has started.
- Sarah Palin was announced as VP for the GOP
- Joe Biden was announced as the VP for the Democrats
- Another hurricane hit New Orleans
- I HAD A $3000 SALE ON EBAY!
I guess, to me, the last one is the most noteworthy. And it is the reason I am writing today. I, as always, using the tips from the Dropshipping Sucks guide found an Entertainment Android.
What is an Entertainment Android you might ask? It is a very large robot used for events. A cute robot I called Space Head.
I bought him for a small fortune at $366 and was able to sell him for a large fortune on eBay. $3011.01 to be exact!! After all costs I easily netted over $2500 in profit.
The biggest pain was shipping him. Since he was no ordinary item I had to arrange for van freight to bring him to his new home. It was a HEADACHE. And, until I got word that he arrived safely, I could hardly sleep thinking somehow I was going to lose-out on this sale. WHAT IF THEY BROKE HIM!? WHAT IF THEY STOLE HIM!?
But, it all worked out in the end. I never thought I would be selling robots online. That is a new one.
So, that is my long overdue update. I will TRY to be more frequent. You try to use my affiliate link!
It makes me want to post more!

It has been a while since I wrote. Last time I was celebrating a big day. My BIGGEST day! Today, I am just writing because I am having eBay euphoria. I realize something. I am one of the few. One of the people who set out to sell on eBay and went through all the pitfalls and am still on and still making money.
Kudos to me.
BUT, this week I did something I told myself I wouldn’t do. I cheated. I said I would not find what other’s are selling and just copy it. But I did, and it is going well!
As part of Chris’ Better Sources software we can see a blog where he (very infrequently
) posts information on trends, etc. Well this past week he posted about some wireless keyboards he found and told us where to get them. He then also showed some current eBay auctions and it looked good to me.
So, I picked up 7 of the keyboards and got them for $6.00 each and have been happily selling them for $26 – $38 each. Not a bad markup. But I do have some remorse. I feel instantly lazy. While I have been using the techniques in the Dropshipping Sucks guide (please, use my affiliate link!) and using the Better Sources software to find products, it was so easy just to have Chris tell me what product to sell and where to find it. Now, I find myself checking the member’s blog every day and to my dissapointment there has been nothing more.
To me it is kind of interesting from a psychology standpoint. Here I am doing well and have become a self-proclaimed expert at finding products myself, but the second someone hands me one I just want more and more. So, Chris, POST MORE!
Well, I suppose I should get back to finding products for myself. Wish me luck!

In my last post I mentioned that I got some software from Christopher Bernard the guy behind the Dropshipping Sucks website. This software allows me to find products on different wholesalers and other places with great speed and ease. It also allows me to research products which I must admit I have not done yet.
I love the software. It is very cool and I find myself using it even to find products I buy for myself. It is just very good at finding products for cheap.
However, there has been one downside. A little while ago I bit the $299 bullet and invested in a company called WorldWide Brands. I was and am still happy with it as clearly a lot of thought and time has gone into the development of their product. I am just not using it anymore due to my using Chris’ software.
I read through the user agreement and I cannot resell my login to anyone else. So I guess I am stuck with something that I no longer use. I will not call it a $299 mistake because as I said, before I got this software I was using WorldWide Brands somewhat to find products for my eBay sales.
On that note, I do seem to have peeked somewhat. I am consistantly selling and making money on eBay but I do not seem to be able to take it to the next level. I am almost certianly going to try selling elsewhere maybe on Amazon or on my own website. Yikes! I would have to build a website!
I suppose it is goodbye forever to my $299 but I have benefitted from the experience. Now I must get back to eBay. And, unfortunately, to my real job which I STILL have.
Wish me luck!

My eBay success has me terrified! Why you might ask? Because now after many months I am really nearing the point where quitting my real job looks like a possibility.
I have been using the methods from the Drop Shipping Sucks guy, Chris, for months now and it is to the point where I really have convinced myself that I am a pro. But am I just fooling myself?
My eBay feedback just today hit the 600 mark. The point when I told myself that if I was making over $400/wk I would consider quitting my job. But, $400/wk is not enough really. Right now I am used to $350 – $400/wk from eBay but also another $512/wk from my job. If I stop working my job now I will lose $512 AND my benefits.
However, if I do not quit now I am not sure how much further I can take my eBay business. I am trying to find as much time as I can but with a full time job it is tough.
So I am asking the advice of my readers, if any still exist. From my experience now I am very confident I can double my eBay profits to $800/wk in under 2 weeks if I had full time to work on it. I also feel pretty sure I can get that up to $1500+ per week if I go at it full time for a month or so and then beyond.
But I am very afraid to take this leap. I could fail and end up with $512 less per week and no eBay business as I spend my time searching for new employment.
PLEASE HELP!
My friend has advised me to take my 2 week vacation from work and try to increase my eBay profits then and if it works then give my 30 days notice. But I don’t have another vacation coming until 2009 so that is a way off and also, once I get the full time eBay started I don’t want to pull back for 30 days.
ARGH! YOUR ADVICE IS APPRECIATED.

I am doing well. So well in fact that I want to do better.
Ebay sales are making me enough money to pay a few bills but I am still so far away from quitting my real job that I am getting anxious to accelerate the process. My thought is this; start selling somewhere other than eBay.
No, I am not going to stop selling on eBay. It is going well. But, as Chris says in his guide, this stuff works on Amazon.com and other websites as well. So the only question is where.
I do not know much about amazon and I know nothing about starting my own website. Chris’s guide also mentions I can create a free blog at www.tangents.org like I have here but there I will get to keep the adsense profits and can also include affiliate links. I can include affiliate links here too of course but I do not keep any adsense revenue. I am going to ask Chris if there is an easy way to add products to that Tangents site as well as then that can serve as my website since it is free.
If you have any suggestions please leave a comment. I am looking at Amazon.Com, CraigsList.com, Tangents.Org, and a few others. I have heard Craig’s List is good but I am not sure how it works. Less than I know about Amazon even.
Wish me luck!!

Well, I had planned on writing something much sooner but I just haven’t had much time lately. Aside from still working full time I am still selling on eBay of course. And, as things pickup there my time is being fully consumed.
I will say this. eBay is making it more and more difficult to turn a profit. Although I still use the methods from DropShipping Sucks to find products really cheap I am getting sick of eBay deciding to keep more and more of my profits.
Sure, I am making a profit which was all I wanted from the start when I was trying using regular drop shippers. But I have gotten greedy and have gotten used to making decent money. I still am, but as I plan to expand and grow, my growth seems to be stunted by eBay and their endless need to make millions of more dollars by increasing fees!
The one good thing is that there seems to be less competition on eBay these days. I think many people have already abandonded them for greener pasture. Wherever that may be.
I might too take Chris’ advice of starting my own website and not relying on outside companies such as eBay and Amazon.com to staple my business.
What are your thoughts? Are you guys going to dump eBay? Have you dumped eBay? Is there somewhere else besides eBay (and Amazon.com) that you like?
Let me know! I am really interested. I am especially interested in hearing from other Drop Shipping Sucks customers like myself and what you are doing outside of eBay.
WISH ME LUCK!
